Bogdan Georgescu
Partner (GP)
Bogdan is an experienced investor and business builder in his late 40s with a diverse background spanning banking, trading, and sales management. Educated in finance (including the Romanian Banking Institute and a Romanian-Canadian MBA), Bogdan started his career during the turbulent 1990s banking scene, then went on to found multiple businesses.
He established SAGE Petrochem in 2011, trading chemicals internationally, which gave him hands-on experience in global markets and managing volatility. He also co-founded an SEC-registered investment advisory firm in the US, advising HNWIs on stock portfolios (Selective Capital, 2011–2015)—demonstrating early on his ability to navigate regulated financial environments.
Bogdan is well-known for his sales acumen: after selling one venture, he invested in refining his sales expertise (trained at Cardone University in the US) and started a successful sales coaching business, through which he trained over 1,500 salespeople across industries. This venture generated income and expanded his network (he met Matei in 2019 through a golf contact who needed sales training).
In 2019, Matei and Bogdan formally partnered to co-found Omnia Capital, combining Matei’s M&A track record and growth investment focus with Bogdan’s M&A focus, financial advisory, and sales skills. Notably, he partnered with a UK private acquisition fund (Opulentia Capital), which has an 80+ acquisition track record, from whom he learned advanced M&A techniques.
Bogdan’s role in Omnia Prime is leading deal execution and value creation: he spearheads financial due diligence and financial reporting of deals and is often on-site with portfolio companies implementing sales strategies and operational improvements.
His banking and trading background also means he keeps a close eye on macroeconomic risks (inflation, FX) and hedging strategies for the fund. Bogdan is deeply committed to the long-term success of Omnia Prime—as he puts it, he intends to spend the rest of his professional life in private equity, helping Eastern Europe’s SMEs catch up with the West.
